Laugh

Something that made me laugh today as I was watching an old black and white German film from the sixties. A father made his son brush his (longish) hair out of his eyes and said: "Aushilfs Beatle". Now I don't know the proper English word for it (Gattina, help!), but it means something like: extra Beatle help. I think.

Well, it made me laugh anyway!

  1. I'm lost with this one. I googled to see if I could figure out what "Aushilfs Beatle" meant but couldn't find anything.

  2. Well, I looked it up on Google Translate (very useful tool for bloggers) and it means "helping out the Beatles"!
Not bad for a Canadian with mostly Scottish ancestors.

  3. It means "auxiliary Beatle" somebody who replaces someone. Or "temporary" Beatle.
